No Cruising Today

We had booked a boat trip to Montague Island with fingers crossed that the wind/swell wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, the wind on the island this morning was reportedly very strong and the trip was cancelled. No matter - we made do with a hearty breakfast at a local cafe, followed by a drive to the Narooma cemetery which overlooks Glasshouse Rocks.  Barbara, being the energetic one, clambered done the "goat track" to the beach to get some closer shots (best to wait for low tide to do this).

We decided to tour through some of the coastal towns north of Narooma.  There is a fantastic cycle/walking path which stretches from Narooma to Dalmeny and passes by dramatic coastal scenery. The main highway north passes through Bodalla where the Bodalla Cheese cafe has cheese tastings, good coffee and a tempting menu.  There is a beautiful Anglican Church next to the cafe which is worth visiting.

Upon our return to the van park, Barbara explored the footbridge to Lewis Island whilst, sadly, Christine amused herself vacuuming and washing the floors (preferable to a long walk on sore feet).
