To the highlands

The Narooma seals were cheeky this morning on Barbara's early morning walk.

On her return, it was time to bid Narooma farewell and head to the Blue Mountains via an overnight stay in Goulburn. We had plenty of time to coast hop from Broulee to Batemans Bay - the best lookout along the way was Melville Point for views south over Broulee Bay to Gulaga and north to Barlings Beach.

South of Melville Point...

North of Melville Point...

A particularly beautiful spot is Guerilla Bay.

We had a quick lunch in pretty Nelligan before tackling the windy bits on the Kings Highway. We arrived in Goulburn with plenty of time to drive around viewing the very impressive buildings that are in abundance in the main part of town. Of course we also had to see one of Australia's big things that is found in Goulburn - the Big Merino.

No matter where we were in Goulburn we could see a large tower on a hilltop - the Goulburn War Memorial.
